(Victor Valley)– In order to increase efficiency and consistency, Victorville Disposal will adjust residential trash and recycle routes in the City of Victorville on April 20. All service days will remain the same, but service times may change. In order to avoid missed service, customers are being asked to put their trash and recycle carts at the curb by 6 a.m. on their regularly-scheduled pickup day.
The trash and recycling routes are being adjusted to accommodate growth and to balance out the number of homes serviced by each truck and driver. This will result in more consistent service and finishing times for all routes.
Approximately 16% of homes (4,900) will be assigned a new trash route, and approximately 18% of homes (5,400) will be assigned a new recycle route.
The City is working together with Victorville Disposal to notify residents about the change. Reminders about the route change will be posted on the City’s website and its social media accounts: Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. Victorville Disposal will also run radio ads to notify residents about the route changes and to remind customers to place barrels out by 6 a.m.
For more information, residents can call the City of Victorville Environmental Programs Division at 760-955-8615.
