(Victor Valley)– With the current “stay at home orders” and concerns about being exposed to the COVID 19 virus, Victor Valley Community Services Council has converted its transportation program into a food and supply delivery program, to help our frailest High Desert seniors when they are not able to access necessities.
Daily, the Council picks up 30 to 48 boxes of groceries from the local food banks, adding in donated toilet paper, paper towels, soap and other toiletries as well as books, magazines, puzzles and things to keep our clients minds busy and active. VVCSC is accepting donations of supplies and needs more volunteers for deliveries to our shut in seniors 60+ years old who are not going out to shop and do not have someone to shop for them.
Please call the office at (760) 243-9646 if you feel you can help. Or follow them at https://www.facebook.com/VictorValleyCommunityServicesCouncil. The VVCSC is located at 16692 Mojave Drive, Victorville CA 92395. Nonprofit agencies interested in being profiled in a future news publication are invited to email SupervisorLovingood@SBCounty.gov.
