Caltrans Helps Truckers get a Hot Meal by Temporarily Allowing Food Trucks at Rest Areas

(Victor Valley)– How do truckers get a hot meal when most of the restaurants are closed or are only offering curbside or drive through service?

You temporarily allow food trucks to serve food at rest areas.

In this video, we take you to a rest area in the northern part of the state where one of the food trucks is providing meals to truckers as they haul essential supplies around California.

Applicants can submit their requests for specific rest areas at http://dot.ca.gov/programs/traffic-operations/food-trucks-rest-areas.
