(Victor Valley)– The San Bernardino County Department of Public Health will conduct a community drive-through novel coronavirus testing event in Needles on Tuesday, May 5. Due to expected extreme heat conditions in Needles in the coming days, the testing location and hours of operation have changed. Those with confirmed appointments will not be affected.
LOCATION: Corona Medical Center
ADDRESS: 1401 Bailey Ave., Needles
TIME: 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.
NOTE: Expanded testing criteria
You must meet ONE of the following criteria:
1. Have ONE of the following symptoms: fever, cough, shortness of breath, chills, muscle pain, new loss of taste or smell, vomiting or diarrhea, and/or sore throat
2. Age 65 or over
3. Healthcare worker (including congregate setting)
4. Emergency medical service (EMS) worker
5. Law enforcement
This event is open to San Bernardino County residents by appointment only. Residents can apply for an appointment at sbcovid19.com. Residents who cannot access the form online can call the COVID-19 hotline at (909) 387-3911 from Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
This event is free of charge and does not require health insurance. All persons will be pre-screened upon completing the appointment request form and again at the event to ensure that all persons meet testing criteria.
