(Victorville)– The City of Victorville is making progress on an important infrastructure improvement project for our region, the Green Tree Extension Project.
Right now, crews are working to relocate a sewer main that’s in the pathway of the Green Tree Extension. This sewer line needs to be relocated before construction of the new roadway can begin. Residents have probably noticed crews working in the area of Green Tree Boulevard, but they will be moving to Hesperia Road in the coming weeks, which will have significant impact on traffic for a few months.
The City of Victorville has submitted a request to Caltrans Local Assistance for federal funds needed for the project. As soon as the City receives these funds, they will be able to put the construction project out to bid. Barring any delays, construction of the Green Tree Extension is expected to begin in 2021.
