(Victorville)– Impressed by the leadership he will bring to the City Council, as well as his four decades of experience in the region, Victor Valley College Trustees Joseph W. Brady, John Pinkerton, Jennifer Tarpley and Brandon Wood all endorsed Mike Stevens for Victorville City Council.
“I’ve known Mike for thirty years, and he is a great thinker, he challenges people, and he’s got it in his heart to be a great Victorville Council member,” said Victor Valley College Board President Joseph W. Brady. “We need people who know how to get to the core of our problems and deal with issues. Mike Stevens is that candidate.”
The City of Victorville is represented on the Victor Valley College Trustees by Joseph W. Brady and Jennifer Tarpley, both of whom endorsed Stevens for City Council.
“As someone who once attended Victor Valley College and whose children attended VVC, it’s exciting for me to be honored with the support of a majority of the Board of Trustees,” said Stevens. “I look forward to a productive relationship between Victor Valley College and the City of Victorville when I am elected to the City Council.”
In 2002, Mike Stevens received the Victor Valley College Foundation’s Distinguished Service Award (DSA). • A silent “hero” who quietly goes about the community making a difference, but usually doesn’t receive recognition for his/her efforts
• A significant contribution to a profession or career
• A significant contribution to Education in general.
A 33-year Victorville resident and retired, decorated Air Force veteran, Mike Stevens has a unique background and perspective about past, present and future issues confronting Victorville.
