Flagging this Friday for Sheep Creek Bridge Widening

By Staff Reports

(Victor Valley)– The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) is completing the bridge work portion of the Sheep Creek Bridge Widening Project on State Route 2 (SR-2) near the Town of Wrightwood. The project has upgraded the existing bridge rail, installed guardrail sidings, widened the bridge on both sides and incorporated eight-foot standard shoulders.

Flagging will take place on SR 2 at Sheep Creek Bridge on Friday, October 16, from 6:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. for work to grind the bridge surface. Expect delays of up to fifteen minutes during the work hours. Use alternate routes to avoid the flagging operations.

The construction portion of the project will be completed by the end of October and plant establishment will take place for the next year.
