Registrar of Voters Continues to Receive, Count Ballots

By Staff Reports

(Victor Valley)– The Registrar of Voters is working hard to ensure every San Bernardino County vote is counted!

The official canvassing period began on Nov. 4 and election results may change throughout the canvass period as vote-by-mail ballots, provisional ballots, and other ballots are processed. This includes counting all mail ballots postmarked by Nov. 3 and received by

Nov. 20.

At close of day Monday, November 9, there were 210,000 mail ballots remaining to be processed. There are also several thousand provisional ballots and some ballots that are damaged, need to be remade, or require further review. An update of Unofficial Election Results is posted every day at 4 p.m. on the Election Results webpage, and a posting schedule of remaining ballots can be found on our Results Schedule webpage.

County elections officials must report their final results to the Secretary of State for the Presidential contest on or before Dec. 1. The Secretary of State will certify the results on December 11, 2020. The Electoral College will convene on December 14, 2020.
