Two new scams targeting County residents

(Victor Valley)– Southern California Edison is warning customers of a new scam in which imposters send fraudulent postcards promising money, or other rewards. If you are suspicious of any correspondence you receive, call the company at 1-800-655-4555.

County of San Bernardino’s Department of Aging and Adult Services is warning of a new digital app money transfer scam. If you receive a message saying money was mistakenly sent to your Venmo, PayPal, Apple Pay or Zelle account and is requesting that you send it back, this is likely a scam. If you think you may be a victim of a scam, call 1-877-565-2020 or your local police department.
