(Apple Valley)– Town residents can avoid disposal charges by turning in their tires free of charge during Apple Valley’s Tire Drop-off Event on Feb. 6 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Lion’s Park. Masks are required.
The event is open to all residents of Apple Valley. Passenger car and light truck tires are accepted with proof of address. Limit loads to nine tires at a time. No rims will be accepted and no commercial dealers please.
The cost of the event is covered by CalRecycle’s Local Government Waste Tire Amnesty Program and is hosted by the Town of Apple Valley Code Enforcement Department and Burrtec Waste.
Lion’s Park is located on South Outer Highway 18, between Flathead and Dale Evans Parkway. Tires are also accepted at the Household Hazardous Waste Collection Facility every Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 13450 Nomwaket Road in Apple Valley.
Additional Tire Drop-off events in 2021 are scheduled at Lion’s Park for the following dates:
- April 10
- June 5
- August 14
- September 18
- December 4
