(Victorville)– Victorville Disposal (Burrtec) has made temporary changes to several services in the City of Victorville during the month of January due to personnel impacts from COVID-19. Customers should be advised that these changes will be in place through the end of the month.
The following service changes are effective immediately:
• All new bulky item pickups are suspended until Feb. 1.
• All exchanges for barrels, bins, and dumpsters that are dirty and broken but still usable are suspended until Feb. 1.
• Temporary Bins and Roll offs – Availability may be limited.
Customers are urged to place barrels curbside by 6 a.m. on their regular service day to avoid missed pick-ups. Customers can also assist by placing barrels curbside only when full or near full.
As an alternate to bulky item pickup, City residents can drop off bulky items for free at the City of Victorville Recycling Drop-off Center, located at 15164 Anacapa Rd. The Recycling Drop-off Center is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturdays from 8 a.m. to noon. Residents who wish to drop off bulky items for free will need to present a valid photo ID, as well as a current utility bill that shows a service address in the City of Victorville.
