(Apple Valley)– The Town of Apple Valley will resume processing passport applications beginning Monday, April 12. For the safety of staff and public, appointments are required, and no walk-ins will be accepted.
“As COVID numbers decrease, and opportunities to travel resume, the demand for passports is expected to rise,” said Town Clerk LaVonda Pearson. “The Town takes the hassle and confusion out of the process by offering this convenient service in the Town Clerk’s Office.”
Since 2003, the Town Clerk’s Office has processed more than 17,000 passports and is rated as excellent by the Department of State for its outstanding service as a Passport Acceptance Facility.
Standard passports for adults are $110. Passports for children age 15 and under are $80. Wallet-sized U.S. Passport Cards valid for land and sea crossings between the U.S. and Canada, Mexico, Bermuda and the Caribbean are $30 for adults and $15 for children 15 or younger. A separate processing fee of $35 must be paid separately for each passport processed.
