(Victor Valley)–Brad Jensen, a seasoned legislative advocate and government liaison with a long record of accomplishments, joins the San Bernardino County team today as Director of Government and Legislative Affairs.
“The county is very fortunate to have someone of Brad’s caliber on our management team,” said County Chief Executive Officer Leonard X. Hernandez, who appointed Jensen following a nationwide recruitment. “The success of our county relies heavily on effective relationships at the state and federal levels and productive partnerships with our cities and towns, school districts, and other local government agencies. Brad has the qualifications and experience to move our county forward in those areas.”
Jensen comes to the county from the San Gabriel Valley Economic Partnership, where he served for eight years as Director of Public Policy, overseeing political advocacy and serving as a liaison with elected officials in the California State Legislature, U.S. Congress, and the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors. He also represented the partnership with regional business organizations and political coalitions.
“My fellow Board members and I are looking forward to working with Brad and his team as we pursue our county’s interests in Sacramento and Washington to improve the quality of life for our residents,” said Board of Supervisors Chairman Curt Hagman.
Prior to joining the partnership, Jensen was a Research Associate at the Rose Institute of State and Local Government at Claremont McKenna College, where he worked on polling research and economic impact analysis, including the annual Kosmont-Rose Institute Cost of Doing Business Survey, a national survey of business taxes and fees in cities across the country. He also has served as administrative analyst for the City of Norco and was an Assistant to the Majority Staff for the Arizona House of Representatives.
Jensen holds a dual bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Russian from Brigham Young University and has a master’s degree in Political Science from Claremont Graduate University.
