(Victorville)– We’re proud to announce that we officially opened Fire Station 315 on July 3 with the addition of six firefighter/paramedics thanks to revenue generated by Measure P, the one-cent sales tax approved by Victorville voters in November.
Activating Fire Station 315 enables us to expand medical service to the southwest corner of Victorville where there has been a coverage gap. Two Type 1 fire engines are being purchased using Measure P funds. One engine will be assigned to Fire Station 315, and the other will replace aging apparatus in the department’s fleet.
We’re inviting the community to celebrate the opening of Fire Station 315 during our Ribbon Cutting Ceremony on Aug. 9 at 9:30 a.m. Additional details about this event will be released in the coming days on the City’s website at VictorvilleCA.gov.
In addition to opening Fire Station 315, Measure P revenue will be used to enhance police, code enforcement, homelessness, library, and recreation services for the community. To learn more about Measure P and the expanded service enhancement for our community, visit VictorvilleCA.gov/MeasureP.
