Free Movies, Concerts Planned Throughout First District This Weekend

(Victor Valley)– The First District promises several fun and free family events this summer, including Hesperia’s Movies in the Park, Apple Valley’s Concerts in the Park, and Wrightwood’s Music in the Pines. Here’s a quick guide to what’s going on this week:

July 22 – Apple Valley Concerts in the Park continues with Neon Nation. The  event takes place from 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. at  Civic Center Park Amphitheater,
14999 Dale Evans Parkway, Apple Valley. Bring your blankets and chairs. Food vendors and a beer garden will be on site. No pets.

July 22 — Wrightwood’s Music in the Pines continues at Vivian Null Park with Claudia Campbell’s Country Night. The event runs 6-9 p.m., with headliner Universal Dudes.

July 24 — Hesperia’s Movies in the Park will showcase “Wonder Woman – 1984.” Movies begin at dusk at Hesperia Civic Plaza Park, 15833 Smoke Tree Street. Bring your lawn chairs and blankets. Food and drinks will be available for purchase on site.

July 24 — The Town of Apple Valley will host its annual Cardboard Boat Regatta at Civic Center Park Aquatic Center. Teams create boats with cardboard and duct tape, and then compete. For more information, please call (760) 240-7880.
