(Victor Valley)– Quick Quack Car Wash turns their beloved yellow duck, Quackals, into Count Quackula for the Halloween season. During hours of operation at all Quick Quack locations, customers can fend off ghosts and spiders in a virtual gaming experience as they go through the car wash. This virtual experience will be available for the whole month of October.
Count Quackula’s Mobile Haunt is an augmented reality experience for the whole family to enjoy. Customers will scan a QR code at their local Quick Quack that allows them to play the game and blast the grime from creatures before the time is up. Mobile devices will need internet access to play the game.
“If a customer decides to play Count Quackula’s Mobile Haunt, they will scan a QR code at the register, wait until they are in neutral as they get prepped for the wash, and then begin blasting some of the virtual ghosts and spiders from their device once they press play,” said Shannon Gauthier, Marketing Leader at Quick Quack Car Wash. “Customers can move their screens left and right to find some of the virtual creatures flying by and compare their scores when the game concludes.”
This month-long event is free for members who can go through the wash anytime and experience the game as many times as they want to beat their scores and blast the virtual creatures. For non-members, the virtual experience is only $5 per car, plus the cost of the wash. Customers are encouraged to fill their car with friends and family (and their mobile devices) and blast the grime off the virtual ghosts and spiders to win points. Customers will notice a few augmented features that will pop out for customers to blast and increase their scores. Customers can also move their device upwards to see the moon and can move the device to look behind them to peek at Count Quackula’s lair. This unique experience is family-friendly and one of the first of its kind at a car wash.
