Get a COVID-19 Booster Shot and Get Children Vaccinated as Omicron Variant is Discovered

By Staff Reports

(Victor Valley)– The Department of Public Health would like to remind residents that the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) expanded booster dose eligibility to include anyone age 18 or older if:

-it’s been six or more months since your second dose of Pfizer or Moderna, or

-it’s been two or more months since your dose of Johnson & Johnson.

Eligible individuals are now allowed to mix and match their COVID-19 vaccine booster. Some people may prefer the vaccine type that they originally received, and others may prefer to get a different booster.

Contact your provider directly to confirm if you need to bring your vaccine card.

If you make an appointment at a San Bernardino County vaccine clinic or special pop-up event, please bring your vaccine card. If you have lost your vaccine card please refer to this website: https://sbcovid19.com/vaccinecards.

For COVID-19 vaccine appointments, visit MyTurn.ca.gov or vaccines.gov to find a location near you.

San Bernardino County is happy to offer boosters to our community and we hope everyone eligible takes advantage of the opportunity to receive a booster. A booster vaccine is recommended to maintain protection against COVID-19, including the Delta and Omicron variants.
